About us

The Domaine of the Messieurs-de-Saint-Sulpice (or Sulpicians’ Mountain Domain) is a vast institutional complex located on the slopes of Mount Royal in Montreal, The estate is bordered on the south side by Sherbrooke Street West and on the northern and eastern sides by Côte-des-Neiges Road.

Nestled in a green park and planted with trees that are more than a hundred years old, the estate comprises notably the Grand Seminary of Montreal (1857) and its chapel which was rededesigned in the early 20th century. Telling of the long and lasting occupation of the site by the Sulpicians, the domain also hosts two towers dating from the XVIIth century and which are the last remains of the fortress that was built there to protect the Mission founded around 1675.
